  • screen dimming in win10 64

I have my settings selected for performance and have adaptive brightness disabled. However, my screen still dims randomly...no matter the application, if I'm in-game or watching video or just web browsing. You guys ever seen that? Can't find any related faq's on it so no clue how to fix it...

Had a similar issue a while back. It turned out to be a faulty DisplayPort cable connector. Replaced it and it worked fine.

Samsung SyncMaster 226BW. The cable thing is one of the few answers I found, but mines good. I also read somewhere that it could be a conflict within the nvidia drivers trying to supersede the CPU graphics. I'm gonna try to reinstall the drivers later and see.

The only time the nvidia drivers would mess with the Intel GPU or AMD APU is in a laptop where they switch between depending on graphics needs. If you're on a desktop and NOT using the integrated graphics, disable them in the bios, if you can.
