Yep not much to write about here, its quake 3 with better graphics... ho hum. It's fun and looks pretty good, very polished and smooth gameplay. The big deal about this game is the web technology, its all online, free and has a stat tracking/ranking system to recommend a level of players for you to play with. So you play with your own skill level by default but you can also join unranked matches which is open to all skill levels. Another benefit i believe will become handy is the fact that you don't have control of the offline content, you DL the game and thats it, no local configs or anything. I'm assuming this means any modification of that code will result in acct. suspension, thus cutting down on hackers.

Nice little game, I finally got a beta key to check it out. Should be fun when it is fully released, looks like ID is doing the work to make it high quality.

It was fun for a while but still in BETA and has the same issue as Quake III Arena. Uhm everyones better than me at it...LOL

well yeah obviously there is local content, but you can't play without logging into the website.

*EDIT: I wonder if, since its web based if you can just embed the game in your own site, maybe even skin it differently... very cool tech IMO.

it's fun it's free... but no noods to kill. Noting but pros play it now. I also suspect cheats on it also because i tryed camping and the guy pre fired around the corner, this was a random test to the guy only because i was getting owned by him. Another thought... you also need punkbuster installed, i thought i would haveto menchion that because the accesability of the game being in the borwser to be played anyware is kinda untrue because of punkbuster. It's still fun i highly sugest to try it because of the fact it's something realy cool and a uniqe idea.

Yeah I like it more for the technology than for the actual gameplay. I mean yeah i like quake 3, but I like ut better. Its just the fact that its free, runs on any PC, and could quite possibly be the future of gaming.

Minion you should check it out, I don't know if your new job supplies a laptop, but I bet quake live will run on it

Well it's not to piss them off, I know there will quite a few UT players there. I just want to use their lan, I mean, I get tired of Quake. I need my daily dose of UT lol. In fact it's my opinion that every game should include a shock rifle, even hello kitty island adventure and such hahahah.
