  • D/DoS?

How can one tell if he has been the victim of a ddos attack. i had a peculiar thing happen today. i couldn't access this website or my h-town webmail for a time. I asked skank in the sanctuary and he said he could get to it.

So i started running netstats -no and netmon and tried again. I could get to other websites no prob. but when i tried to get to h-town i would get a "not found error" and no 404 handler either. then my webmail started working again and after a while i could get here too.

This didn't happen when i tried another computer. DDos to my DNS server? How can you track an ip spoof? Is it normal to have four connections to loopback? Bad DNS?

Gawd! Do i have to monitor all ip traffic!

RRRAAAKKKEEERRR HHHEEELLLPPP!!! I have netmon captures and screen scrapes of my netstat -no

The host that supports this site moved over the weekend, for a time (maybe some are still having issues) during the move that the dns nameservers had to be switched. So...things were kind of weird for a while today. Lunch called me this morning and said he couldn't connect..although I could connect fine. I tried to connect around noon and I lost the site too.

Hopefully all will be normal again soon. You can open the curtains again Eye,they aren't after you.....yet.

It'll be OK, just give it time for propagation.

By the time I got home last night it was working no problem (comcast).

But here at work, Qwest DSL didn't find the new addy till just a few minutes ago. Everything ok now.
