Do you want to overclock your video or your cpu? If you want to overclock your CPU you'll have to see what overclocking features your motherboard and/or CPU supports. If its a good board it should have some OC features built in. Read your motherboard manual cover to cover.

As for your video card, I wouldn't overclock it. It tends to make things unstable, even if you use the factory utilities. Try searching the net for overclocking tips for your specific card first before you try anything, see what others have done.

If you do overclock, be aware of your COOLING SETUP! More speed equals more heat that needs to be dissipated. Thats the drawback to overclocking, you may get more speed at the cost of CPU lifetime. Buy a big copper heatsink+fan combo.

        Be careful!

Moo,leave it well enough alone. The gains are usually not enough to make up for the wear and tear on your machine.Believe me I've toasted my share of vid cards, cpu's and mb's.

I agree Moo, overclocking is for people that have money to burn (literally). I have seen too many people damage thier pc's for minimal gain. Besides. I have found that practicing playing will benefit you far more than speeding up the pc. This only works if you find a way to speed up your hands at the same time.
