Anyone know were i can find a good AMD X2 64 6000+ bundle
guys theres a Tigerdirect canada Tigerdirect.ca i was goin to get intel but i said nah amd cuase u cant do sli on a socket 7750 board and i hate ati too
This is NOT true, you can SLI and Intel board as long as you buy a board with an nvidia chipset as opposed to the intel chipset that supports ATI/crossfire. Look for an Intel socket 775 board with a 650i or 680i chipset this will support Nvidia cards in SLI mode.
Example...both Slaide and Massive are running Intel processors with Nvidia cards, ask them what motherboard model numbers they are using.
I agree get an Intel or nvidia chipset, ive seen reports that you can run crossfire on nvidia chipsets but no SLI on ATI chipsets. Intel is kinda neutral depends on what you buy.
@Minion: Pffft Intel is a big name thats all. AMD chips are always the same or better performance. From what ive read AMD's quads are miraculous . It's just intel will undersell them because they have no ethics lol. Ooooh lets make our quad cores mad cheap so people will buy them even though AMD makes a better and more efficient chip!

Have you heard about the new Intel quads around the corner? Intel has a little something special to release if AMD ever releases thier quad. I'm not here to start a cpu war...but the numbers don't lie. I would use Intel if AMD was king, it's kind of like the "boxers or briefs" contraversy. BTW I wear strictly thongs because I'm a thong fanboy!

Asus Striker Extreme nForce 680i SLI Socket 775 1333MHz DDR2-800. Ready to SLI when i can afford a second 8800 GTX 768
ok wedgie boi lol. i don't have a preference really, ill buy the best deal @ the time. Intel or AMD. Its just im usually on a budget and AMD is usually lower priced than Intel. I seem to remember someone building their new Intel duo rig and then getting their butt kicked by a certain AMD fanboy anyway. lolololol

I'm convinced by all the write ups and comparision to amd that intel is the way to go.My problem now is how well this old amd is doing on the demo.I'm sure that will change when the full version is released. But this has put me into a stall mode.
