  • Nvdia 8800 Dual Problem

    I have a brought another 8800 gtx for my dell XPS and im getting this problem saying sufficient power error basically its lowering my performance on my graphics cards to stop it from being damaged which makes the games run bad also im running a 750 watts and i dont know what the problem is can some one help me please.

    Just a guess... but you need a bigger power supply, or you need to remove some extraneous devices from your system.

    When your building a system you have to do wattage calculations as to what the total wattage consumption is for your machine.
    Rule of thumb is to not exceed 60% of the total power output of your PSU. So, 60% of 750 watts = 450 stable watts for all devices.

            Yea,my xps came with the 1000 watt psu.Lucked out I guess.
