Suggestions/Input on new PC Build

Hey guys. I am getting ready to build a new pc and I have the parts picked out that I think I am going to use and have them linked below. Let me know what you think and/or any suggestions you may have or advice. Thanks guys!

*Note I already have a 1000W PSU and 2 nVIDIA GTX 260's therefore GPU and power supply is not needed.

Here are the components I think I will go with. Please give me your input.

Thermaltake Case or the much cheaper Corsair Obsidian (I know the thermaltake is expensive, but it is so freaking cool.

Corsair Memory

Asus Motherboard

Core i7

CORSAIR Cooling Hydro Series CPU Cooler

Intel X25-M Mainstream SSDSA2M160G2R5 2.5" 160GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

The only thing I would disagree with is I'd rather have the top dog i7 processor with a cheaper case.Meaning I'd buy a case at the price of your selected processor and a processor for the price of your selected case.But that's me,I just care if the case will function properly not,leave the looks behind. lol

I do wish this drive was a tad bigger for the price.

I doubt that you'll have any performance issues with that rig.
But I personally tend to lean toward Freak's way of thinking, ( OMG, did I really type that out loud?! ) I always get the baddest cpu available and use Antec server cases. The cases are big, have plenty of drive bays and excellent cooling properties. And they're not beige. Just my $0.02

When building a PC I never buy the top of the line CPU, I always get the second best because the top of the line is always overpriced because it's the latest and greatest. (same applies to graphics cards)

I mean let's be realistic here, in two months the top of the line isn't the cat's pajamas anymore anyway, so why spend the extra money?

I also have a different view on cases. I buy a really nice case (usually Lian Li ) because I want a quality case that I can reuse over and over (unlike the stuff inside it). Besides, to non geek people all they see is the outside.

I would give an opinion on the rest of the system but to be honest I haven't been keeping track of the new stuff so I'm pretty useless there. I DO like Intel though.

Yep what Freak said and also I would buy the case locally and avoid the shipping charges. Put what you would have spent on shipping into you money you could spend on a case locally.

Unless you travel to all the LAN parties and tournaments who cares what it looks like. Function over flash. $0.02

The pictures of the Thermaltake Level 10 are misleading. This case is huge and has plenty of room and excellent cooling thermodynamics. (See Video) It also has 6 HDD/SSD drive bays. I also agree with Minion about CPU's. I could pay $1000 for a top of the line i7 extreme, but soon the i9's come out (6 cores) and will be much cheaper with better performance. This case is meant to last for a very long time and looks very freakin' cool.

I would buy the case locally and avoid the shipping charges. Put what you would have spent on shipping into you money you could spend on a case locally.

Well I finally got all the parts and built the Level 10 PC. The case is extremely heavy (60 lbs empty) but it is well built and keeps the PC at very low temps. The Solid State Disk is extremely fast, I don't think I could ever go back to standard drives again. The Motherboard is very nice, easy to work with, nice easy BIOS with great Utilities and is future ready with sata 6GB/s and USB 3.0. The radiator for the H50 CPU water cooler was tough to mount, but I was able to mod it to fit. Here are the list of parts I used:

hahaha thats funny nice rig im still running duo core 1.86 intel ftw and 4 gigs of ram and 8800 gts oc lol Just an fyi i have switched my system to ubuntu 9.10 and so far its BAD@SS lol im having a little bit of problems with ut2k4 but im working out the bugs

I did a few case mods to my level 10. I put in some clear plexiglass windows. I am just starting out on this project. I am going to add plexiglass to the optical disc drive compartment and PSU compartment and use thin transparent color film gel to make the windows transparent red. I am just starting out so it is simple right now.
