  • What kind of graphics card will be needed for UT2K7?

Here's the answer: PPU, or Physics Processor Unit, http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid...e=expert&pid=1

How do I know? Look at the demo of the physics engine in UT2K7: Download the Rocket demo here, http://www.ageia.com/novodex.html

Run the Big Bang demo in Rocket to see where you stand..... Be ready for a surprise. You might get a frame rate of 10 if you are LUCKY.

The addon card is probably what we will be getting, untill the mainstream graphics card manufacturers start incorporating the PPU onto their cards, so don't go & buy a new video card yet, wait until it is the right time.

Dont forget a decent processor. You all know the saying. The army is only as strong as the weakest unit. Or some thing like that. If your processor is lower grade then your graphics card, you are not running the graphic cards full potential. I just learned that a week back. hehe.

Not the army thing, I made that up. Try running dual with any card and like a 1.8 GHZ pentium or some thing. hahahaha OWNED

Smart choice on the AMD 64 Fhaeton. They are made for gaming. I still need a pentium for making my music, and may be working on some videos. My family has 6 next door. Between us, I have an AM64 my dad has one, my mom has a pentium, and my brother jesse has a pentium. (we all got server computers too but these are our best ones) His pentium owns on unreal editor. I really have got the chance to try out the top every thing in Nvidia, Pentium and AMD's. Oh oh radeons too. AMD owns for what it is good for. (gaming) Pentium Definately owns for multitasking some multitrack recording programs and such. (CPU HUNGRY BEOCHES)

Any how, I was bored and thought Id rant a little bit. Congrats on your computer.
