  • La Fin Du Monde

You were right Non, it does have a bit of carbonation. A lot of Tripel's do but this seemed almost fizzy. By the time I was through my second glass (10 oz. pilsner glass) I was starting to feel a little mellow.....what?? Reading the label.....Oh yeah, it's 9% ABV! Dang! With that high of an alcohol content you really can't taste it!

Reminds me of some of the Orangy spiced Witbiers such as Blue Moon, but with a healthier kick. I would buy it again as long as Costco has it fairly cheap.

Having a dog named "Shark" at the beach was a bad idea!

Yea high abv which I like. It's worth getting here and there but a little overcarbonated as you said.

Unibroue has a new "Sommelier Selection" 6 pack. It has 6 different 12 oz bottles including the following.

La Fin du Monde: Strong triple-style golden ale. 9% ABV.
Maudite: Strong amber-red ale. 8% ABV.
Trois Pistoles: Strong dark ale. 9% ABV.
Don de Dieu: Triple wheat ale. 9% ABV.
Blanche de Chambly:White (wheat) ale. Most comparable to Blanche de Bruxelles. 9% ABV.
Ephemere Apple: White ale brewed with apple must.5.5% ABV.

I picked one up at the local grocery store for $9.99. Considering a bottle of La Fin costs about $6-7 for a big bottle, the 6 pack is a good deal.

All of these are bottle fermented which is a Belgian style.
