Patch 3369 Realeased

I recieved this in an email today:

Epic Games is releasing a new patch for UT2004 which updates the game to
version 3369. This patch is identical to the beta 3369. A Linux version of
this patch will be available soon.

This patch is completely compatible with the retail version and previous
patches - servers and clients of any flavor can connect with each other.

This patch will not overwrite your ut2004.ini and user.ini files, except
to update settings as necessary.

The patch change list is included in the patch. After installing the
patch, you can find it at ut2004\help\readmepatch.int.txt

We will be strongly encouraging all clients and servers to
upgrade to this patch (including removing whitelisting for pre-3369
servers after an interval).

So in other words, that is the only version of UT that will be able to play online soon. So patch your game!

not patching server to this.......client i already have...but servside i am not..

LOB guys asked us to patch our servers...anyone have any information as to why? i don't have anyhting against patching..jsut never been a fan of patching just to patch..if nothing is broken i hate to add to the mix...

I would rather not patch at all on the trials servers. From what I understand one thing the patch does is to make the shield obsolete with lava and slime. Unfortunately there are alot of trials maps that require you to use your shield in those situations to get thru to the objective.

Anyone know if this happens when the client adds the patch and the server is still running an old version?

Camp is patched to 3369..feel free to go in and see what differences it makes. I can't play any of those damn trials maps so I would never know...... :roll:

I guess we need to..alot of the trials maps depend on the shield/lava thing. I did not know this because I suxor at trials or I would have let you know before the patch. ops:

That thing is packed. I'll patch it back late tonight when the crowd thins out so I don't interupt them.
